For what purpose and how must we not use animals?
Animals are spared no harm when humans consider themselves having that right through strength. In contrast, I dream of a world without battlefields and slaughterhouses. A world of pure organic agriculture in which we use, yes, the gifts of animals, like their milk and eggs and dung, but not their meat. I deem the farming of species that have been following mankind for a long time acceptable. I try to keep and respect my hens in this manner. I take their eggs and give them food and shelter and care.
What about plants? The realm of plants has enabled the development of animal life. Everything is connected to everything else. Mindful humans do not destroy this web of life but further it. More…
